How Dry Ice Blasting Works
Coldsweep provides fast and effective industrial cleaning services utilizing dry ice blasting.
Dry ice blasting uses high-velocity dry ice pellets to clean surfaces without damaging equipment, and provides a number of significant advantages over other types of industrial cleaning:
No labor-intensive manual scrubbing or caustic chemicals/solvents.
The dry ice vaporizes into harmless gas on impact, so no secondary waste is created.
Equipment can usually be cleaned in-place - without expensive disassembly.
Dry ice is completely environmentally friendly and harmless to employees.
In addition, dry ice blasting is faster, more convenient, and more cost effective than ‘traditional’ cleaning methods.

A recent Coldsweep project was named "Best Historic Restoration Project of 2007" by Masonry Construction. Coldsweep performed dry ice blasting to deep clean interior masonry prior to application of a transparent reinforcement that was used to stabilize the walls of Squatters Brew Pub.
