Induction Stripping -Removes epoxies, fiberglass, rubber and more with no noise or secondary waste. This magnetic process is five to ten times faster than sandblasting!
Epoxy is an excellent coating. Because of this, it is understandably difficult to remove. For example, sandblasting epoxy can take hours. It is dirty, loud, and unsafe. In contrast, induction stripping is quiet, safe, and quick.
How does it work?
Induction stripping is a magnetic process. When performing an epoxy removal on a steel surface, it allows an operator to remove a coating in seconds. In essence, induction stripping creates eddy currents at the bond line of the epoxy and the steel. These currents create enough heat to immediately dis-bond the epoxy. A technician simply pulls on the epoxy to remove it from the substrate. Curious about the process? Learn more here.
